Oatmeal Whole Wheat Pancakes

- 1⁄2 cup oatmeal
- 1⁄4 cup whole wheat flour
- 4 tablespoons ground flax seeds
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1⁄2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 cup water
- 3 tablespoons margarine
directions
- Bowl #1.
- Place oats in food processor and grind until fine. Place in bowl. Add flour, flax seed, baking powder, cinnamon, and baking soda.
- Bowl #2.
- Beat egg, add vanilla, water. Melted butter when cooled add to egg mixture.
- Add bowl #2 to #1 and mix. Let stand a few minutes until thickened. Prepare as you would normal pancakes.
- Makes 4 4-5 inch pancakes.
