ingredients
- 1⁄2 cup coarsely chopped onion
- 1⁄4 cup coarsely chopped green pepper
- 2 tablespoons oil
- 1 (6 ounce) can tomato paste
- 3⁄4 cup open pit barbecue sauce
- 2 cups water
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 3⁄4 teaspoon salt
- 3 cups cooked drained noodles (spaghetti or macaroni can be used)
directions
- Saute vegetables in oil until tender. Add tomato paste, BBq sauce, water, sugar and salt; bring to a boil. Reduce heat, simmer about 20 minutes. Serve over noodles.
