  • cream butter and sugar (just using wooden spoon).
  • add egg.
  • mix well.
  • fold in sifted flour and cocoa alternately with milk and vanilla/.
  • top with mixed cocoa and sugar.
  • gently pour hot water over ingredients.
  • bake in moderate oven for 30-40 minutes.

  2. I made this for dinner tonight. It's a wonderful comfort food recipe that we all loved. I like this recipe for self saucing pudding as it's one of the only ones on here I've found to have an egg in it-I think that adds to the richness of it.

I live in South Australia approximately 3 hours SE of Adelaide on a farm. We grow a variety of crops such as wheat, barley and canola, just to name a few. We also grow a couple of different varieties of sheep. We entertain a lot, with many friends who come down to see us to get that 'country feel'.I love cooking and experimenting with new recipes.
