I don't know what 'dip' means other than it goes on the plate like mayonnaise/salad cream or houmous. It's a 'spread' in the Levant as it is in the UK or put directly on the plate with or without other foods, like in most Middle Eastern countries. If eating with hands in those countries, these spreads are 'wiped' off the plate with bread, like curry sauces, but I use a knife & fork. Like Houmous, it's used a lot in sandwiches by vegetarians/vegans. This particular spread lives up to the "fabulously tasty" description & has a pleasant crunch that went well with my salad, it's so nice I am going to make more later, only had enough walnuts to make this. (Hand chop walnuts otherwise you end up with 'flour').

I live in Manchester, UK with my fiance and young son. I work at the local hospital in pediatrics and love my job. I also love cooking!! I have a sweet tooth but try and make healthy family meals, I'm not against some lovely treats now and then though :)
