Mom's Seasoned Toast

"This is a great partner for any pasta dish. It isn't much of a recipe, in fact it is rather lame, but we really like it for sopping up sauce. I came up with this when I did not have garlic to make garlic bread. Measurements are merely a guess as I just sprinkle on the spices and sort of eyeball it."

Excellent and so easy to make. I could have gone a little heavier on my sprinkling, but it was good anyway. Thanks for sharing. Made for PAC Spring 09

I do this as well, except for the spices I just use garlic powder. I will definitely try it this way as well. It goes fantastically with Italian dishes or soup. My daughter and son even make it was snacks using plain old sandwich bread. Awesome anyway you slice it!

So good - this is just how I do it and it's always better than "store bought" bread. :)

I have two teenage children and am very happily married. We live in Southern, Ontario.

I live to cook and just love to putter around the kitchen. I enjoy reading all kinds of cookbooks which I borrow from the library or buy second hand. I really like Taste of Home magazine, because the recipes are from ordinary people and aren't too complicated. I also like to read community or church cookbooks because you know that the recipe must be special for someone to share it.

I discovered RecipeZaar because it was mentioned by someone in a cooking I am hooked. I think it is so helpful to read the reviews and suggestions from others who have tried recipes before me.

I always thought of myself as a pretty good cook, but I am learning so much since I have joined RecipeZaar. I really appreciate the ideas and feed back that everyone provides.
114172283"
