I used 1/2 teaspoon each of the garlic salt and the onion salt. When it was in a nice ball and chilled, I rolled it in finely chopped walnuts. It made a pretty good sized ball, but it went away very quick! This has a great taste. I served it with an assortment of crackers. It was especially good with the new cracked pepper cracker from Ritz. I'm making this again for Christmas Eve! Thanks, Jeff!

I was so glad to find this recipe while choosing a recipe for Chef Jeff's Cookathon! I made it alot in the 1980's, but then lost the recipe. I use garlic powder to taste instead of garlic salt. Since it is a large cheese ball, I brought it to many parties. The recipe is great as written, but I served it yesterday adding some diced up red and green pepper for color. In the past I've also added finely-sliced green onion tops or a jar of Kraft Roka Blue Cheese Spread in lieu of fresh blue cheese.
