  1. My mom used to make something like this 40-or-so years ago. I thought it would just be a memory. Found this for our large family Christmas Eve nosh-fest and was so delighted. It is so much better than my mom's! Wonderful flavor - like a shrimp cocktail made creamy. I went overboard on the shrimp (24 oz pkg) and chopped them coarsely. Served as a dip with thin crackers, it was the hit of the evening. May switch out 1/2 of sour cream with cream cheese for a more traditional thickness. Absolutely will go into the printed binder.
