ingredients
- 380 ml condensed milk
- 500 ml caster sugar
- 125 g margarine
- 1 tablespoon golden syrup
- 5 ml caramel essence
directions
- 1. Combine condensemilk, castor sugar, margarine and golden syrup in a microwavable bowl (leave out caramel essence).
- 2. Place bowl in the microwave on high for 11-12 minutes (Stir every 3 minutes).
- 4. Mixture is ready when it is bubbling and pulling away from the sides of the bowl. Add in the caramel essence and stir quickly.
- 5. Por the mixture into a shallow, greased container (preferably a square baking tin).
- 6. Leave to stand for awhile to cool down before cutting.
