Last Minute Breadsticks

"Last minute meal guests? last minute dinner preparation? These are a great addition and you probably have most of the ingredients on hand anyway!"

• Yields: 16 sticks

ingredients

• 1⁄3 cup parmesan cheese, grated
• 1⁄2 teaspoon dried oregano
• 1⁄2 teaspoon dried basil
• 1 egg white, lightly beaten
• 1 tablespoon cold water
• 1 (11 ounce) can refrigerated breadstick dough

directions

1. preheat oven to 350 spray 2 cookie sheets with nonstick spray.
2. unroll the dough onto a flat surface.
3. in mixing bowl combine cheese, spices.
4. in custard type bowl mix egg white and water.
5. sprinkle half of the cheese mixture on to bread stick dough and lightly press in to keep in place.
6. slice each bread stick piece lengthwise to create 2 sticks and separate one at a time twisiting the piece of dough and laying on the cookie sheet.
7. after getting all twists on the sheets brush lightly with egg wash and sprinkle with remaining cheese mix.
8. bake around 15 minutes until golden.
9. serve.
