  1. Tell your dad that we think it is fantastic too!! I was short 1/2 cup of lentils but I don't think it that affected the taste at all. Here is what I did for the spices no black pepper, 1 teaspoon crushed red pepper, 2 teaspoons basil, 2 teaspoon oregano, 2 tablespoons parsley and 2 teaspoons french thyme. I thought those amounts were perfect for us. I will be making this one many times in the future!! Thank you for sharing. Made for *Zaar Cookbook Tag July 2009* game
