Hot and Spicy Beets

"Beets are one of my favorite vegetables, and this dish is a wonderful side dish complement to a nice roast."

• Ingredients: 7
• Serves: 4-6

ingredients

• 2 cups beets (canned or fresh cooked)
• 1⁄4 cup brown sugar
• 1 tablespoon butter
• 1⁄4 teaspoon minced onion
• 1⁄2 teaspoon caraway seed
• 1⁄4 teaspoon oregano
• 2 tablespoons vinegar

directions

1. Boil ingredients 2-6 until liquid is reduced to about half.
2. Add beets.
3. Simmer only to heat and blend flavor.
