Homemade Nutella Without Hazelnut

  • Toast the nuts. You can do this on a cookie sheet at 350 degrees in the oven for about 10 minutes. You could instead toast them in a dry pan at medium heat. Keep an eye on they can burn quickly.
  • Put nuts in blender or food processor and process until very fine pieces. In another bowl mix powdered sugar, salt, and cocoa. Add sugar mixture to nuts.
  • Process a bit and add vanilla and some of the oil. Process until you get the consistency you want adding more oil if necessary.

Sometimes I am all into trying new things then other times I only want old standbys. I like to get veggies into my picky kids by sneaking them in where they were not expecting them. I've learned that its improtant to try new things 2 or 3 times before you can really consider it rejected.
