Herbes De Provence - Simple Spice Mix from Vegetarian Times

"Entered for safe-keeping. From June 2012 Vegetarian Times. Once always available at the corner grocer, sometimes it is hard to find this French Provencal summertime grilling spice mix. There are many versions of this spice mix. Most include lavender and fennel, which are absent in this version. Some object to the floral overtones of lavender or the anise/licorice accent of fennel. Most kitchens would have everything but the savory already on hand."

 1. Just what I needed. Thanks

 2. I needed some Herbes de Provence for another recipe and made just enough for one use. The only change I made was to use fresh rosemary since I had some on hand. I love that the ingredients were all at hand in my pantry. Made for ZWT8 Family Picks.

 3. I love Herbes De Provence and at the moment I really didn't have some.
It was great to find here the recipe.
I used some homemade dried herbs as well: marjoram, rosemary, basil and savory. Thyme and oregano are directly imported by me from Greece.
Wonderful now I not need to buy this mix! Thanks a lot for the recipe!

 4. Good and easy, its nice to have a small amount of a specific herb/spice mix on hand, especially if you're not using it all the time. Thanks for this, Kate, made for ZWT8, Family Picks
