Crust
- 1⁄4 cup butter
- 3⁄4 cup herb seasoned stuffing mix

Filling
- 2 cups herb seasoned stuffing mix
- 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1 cup water
- 1⁄2 cup milk
- 2 (8 ounce) cans tuna in water, drained & flaked
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon chicken base
- 1⁄2 teaspoon dry mustard
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
- 2 tablespoons onions, finely chopped

Sauce
- 1⁄3 cup butter
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 1 1⁄3 cups water
- 1 teaspoon dill weed
- 1⁄2 teaspoon sea salt
- 2 cups fresh tomatoes, cubed & seeded or 2 cups canned tomatoes, chunks well drained
directions
- Heat oven to 350.
- In a 3 quart saucepan melt 1/4 cup butter. Stir in 3/4 cup dry stuffing Mix well & press onto bottom & up the sides of a greased 9″ pie pan. Set aside.
- In the same saucepan stir together all filling ingredients; spoon over crust. Bake at 350 for for 50-55 minutes or till heated through.
- Let stand out of oven for 10 minutes.
- Meanwhile in 2 quart saucepan, melt 1/3 cup butter. Mix together cornstarch and water before adding to the melted butter.
- Stir in remaining sauce ingredients EXCEPT tomatoes.
- Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally till mixture comes to a full boil (5-7 minutes). Add well drained & seeded tomatoes; simmer for 1 minute. To serve cut pie in wedges an then poor sauce over wedges.
