  • Preheat oven to 350°.
  • Line 9 x 13 pan with aluminum foil.
  • Spray with cooking spray.
  • Beat together butter, sugar, egg yolk, and vanilla.
  • Add flour and mix until crumbly.
  • Press into 9 x 13 pan.
  • Cook for 10 minutes or until golden brown.(I didn't write down how much cooking time on this section, this is a guess).
  • In a medium saucepan melt sugar, butter, and corn syrup until boiling. Boil 2 minutes.
  • Remove from heat.
  • Stir in Cream and nuts.
  • Pour over crust.
  • Bake 22 minutes or until caramel is colored and bubbly.(watch carefully).
  • Let cool.

  1. First off, me being nitpicky ~ Don't let the cooking & prep times fool you, 'cause this recipe went together very quickly & the total cooking/baking time was less than 45 minutes! That said, you're in for a great treat ~ The combo of hazelnuts & the caramel is WONDERFUL, & the recipe certainly a keeper! Many thanks!
