This is my first review ever after subscribing to Recipe Zaar and now Food.Com for many years and getting many wonderful recipes. This Strata Dish came out of the oven looking beautiful! However, it was very lacking in flavor. I used all ingredients specified and didn't change a thing first time around - we were so disappointed. Second time, I added one small bell pepper chopped fine, one small onion, chopped fine, added one more egg as the cheese makes it soupy, added 1 teaspoon of salt and 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper. Also, I used a combination of American and Cheddar Cheese - much, much better and still beautiful in appearance.

After a Walt Disney World trip in Dec 2006 where I had to rent an electric scooter because I couldn't manage the walking, I decided to have gastric bypass surgery, which was done Feb 28, 2007. I lost 160 lbs (though I've gained back about 60 of that since). I can't eat as much as I used to, so I want every bite to be extra good!
