Grilled Salmon

"When we lived in Alaska, we would have a huge BBQ for all of our friends every summer. We would fix this grilled salmon along with grilled trout and deep fried halibut. This is our favorite way to eat salmon other than smoked. Prep time includes marinating."

  1. I don't have a grill. Can this be baked

  1. This recipe officially turned me into the newest salmon lover!! I am almost embarrassed to say, but we have never cooked salmon at home. My son-in-law just came home from Iraq and I was cooking a special dinner for his birthday. When my daughter told me that salmon was his favorite I nearly had a heart attack. I have never been one to cower in the kitchen, and for this special occasion for our soldier home from Iraq I wasn't backing down now. I picked your recipe because of it's simplicity and the ingredients that I knew would be a hit at our table. Before we sat down to eat I prematurely apologized to my son-in-law for using his occasion as our 1st time salmon attempt, but I could have saved myself the breathe. It was absolutely delicious!! We were just blown away at the flavor the marinade and the grill combined with the fresh salmon produced. He loved it and repeatedly complimented our first try at his favorite dish. We are sold...not only on salmon at home from now on, but on this GREAT recipe!! :)
  2. This is the best Salmon I have ever tasted. It was extremely moist and the flavor is out of this world. The only change I made was used Grapeseed oil instead of olive oil. Thank you for sharing!
  3. Followed the recipe precisely..a beautifully cooked, moist, flavored salmon! I will reduce or omit the salt next time for personal preference, but the rest of my family LOVED this!
  4. I cook a lot, grill a lot, use smoker a lot. This is an EXCELLENT recipe for Salmon. Definitely 5 stars and will use again.
  5. One of the best grilled salmon we ever made! So tasty and moist. Only change I made was not adding salt and pepper as there was salt and pepper in the Cajun seasoning (which I made from seasonings in my cupboards). Will definitely make again!

  1. Absolute fabulous recipe!!! The only "tweak" is I caution people to think about the salt. I didn't add the salt, simply because the cajun creole spice I used was pretty salty. I love this cause you can use any spicy season, just consider the salt.

I grew up in a small town in southwest Virginia but have now settled down in the mountains of Tennessee. I have also lived in Oklahoma, Texas, Alaska and Washington. Throughout the years, I have met lots of wonderful people and made some great lifelong friends who share my love for cooking. I always enjoy all the new dishes that my friends and family share with me. I love to entertain and have friends and family over and they love to come and eat!! My kitchen is always open with good food and warm conversation! My motto is: The recipe that is not shared with others will soon be forgotten; but when it is shared, it will be enjoyed by future generations.
