Fettuccine Limoncello

ingredients
- 1 lb fettuccine
- 1 ounce butter
- 4 ounces boiled ham
- 1 ounce chopped fresh parsley
- 4 ounces cream
- 4 ounces limoncello
- 1 ounce parmesan cheese
- salt
directions
- Cook fettuccine al dente.
- In a shallow pan, brwn butter, ham, and parsley, then put in a shallow bowl.
- Drain fettuccine.
- Add it to the bowl.
- Add cream, limoncello, and cheese.
- Stir well.
- Add salt to taste.

I am on the fence with this one!! We had a friend come over to watch a hockey game and although the men enjoyed the pasta, I like my white sauce to be a bit more creamier. This thin sauce pooled all around the bottom of the pot and I had to scoop out the bits of meat. I cut the recipe in half as I wanted to serve this as a side dish and used prosciutto instead of ham. I served this with grilled chicken thighs. This dish alone would not sustain 6 hungry people...you would have to supplement it with something else. Sorry, but I think I will pass!
