Easy Sweet and Spicy Kettle Corn

"Dress up your popcorn. This recipe uses a bag of microwave popcorn drizzled with caramel and sprinkled with paprika, salt, coriander, white pepper, and cayenne pepper and then tossed to coat."

  • Mix first 5 ingredients in a small bowl. Make a bag of microwave popcorn. While it pops, cook 5 tablespoons sugar in a small sauce pan over medium heat until it melts and turns light brown. Remove from heat; stir in 1 tablespoon butter. Pour the caramel over the popcorn in a bowl, sprinkle with the spice mix and toss to coat. Spread out on a baking sheet to cool.

  1. This was a bit too spicy hot for me. I even made two batches of the sugar/butter combo using just sugar/butter in the 2nd go-over. Still really spicy, but after mixing it alltogether with a bag of plain popcorn, it was better. Thanks Glo. Made as a recipenap for AU Recipeswap~
     
  2. This is GREAT. I had leftover popcorn and was looking for something to do wtih it. I followed excatly except i had no white pepper so used a black but cut it down a bit. I also used a bit less cayenne. Thanks for posting!

Maxx was the best dog that anyone could ever hope to have in their life. &nbsp;Until we meet again, sweet boy, you will be forever in my heart and memories. I currently live in the country with two dogs (a 12 pound&nbsp;poodle mix&nbsp;named Suki and a new member to the family, a 7-month old(?) 7.5 pound terrier mix named Angel ). &nbsp; I got Angel from the dog pound a week after I lost my beloved Maxx. &nbsp;Suki and I both needed a new companion to help us cope with our loss. &nbsp;Nothing will ever replace Maxx, but she has helped to uplift Suki's spirit. I am a secretary for a county school board. I love to cook, bake, crochet, paint, sew, read and anything to do with crafts. I was born in Tokyo,Japan. My father was in the Air Force and my moher was Japanese. I love to cook (and eat) a variety of foods from many different nations.
