  • Cook fettuccine or noodles according to package directions. Drain well; keep fettuccine warm by placing in colander over a pot of warm water and cover.
  • Meanwhile, in a medium saucepan cook onion in butter or margarine until tender but not brown.
  • Stir in flour. Add milk all at once. Cook and stir over medium heat until thickened and bubbly. Cook and stir for 1 minute more.
  • Gently stir in tuna and 1/4 cup of the cheese.
  • Spoon tuna mixture over the hot cooked fettucine or noodles. Sprinkle with remaining cheese and olives.
  • Serve immediately.
