Down Home Beef and Rice

"My Great Grandmother's beef and rice dutch oven dish. So simple but very hearty and comforting!"

• Ingredients: 6
• Serves: 6

ingredients

• 2 lbs beef stew meat
• 1 (10 3/4 ounce) can cream of mushroom soup
• 1⁄4 teaspoon pepper
• 3 cups water
• 1 1⁄2 cups uncooked rice
• 1 teaspoon salt

directions

1. Brown stew meat in a large dutch oven.
2. Add remaining ingredients to dutch oven and bake at 300 degrees F for 3 hours, covered.

Talk about easy! I love this recipe, but I must admit that I do add a little chopped onion to the meat while it is browning and I add a little beef broth instead of all water. This is really comforting and easy. Thanks for this one!
