Dixie Green Beans and Potatoes

- 2 lbs fresh green beans, tips removed and cut in half
- 1 1⁄2 lbs new potatoes, cut in half if large
- 1 1⁄2 cups cooked ham, cubed
- 1⁄2 cup onion, diced
- 1⁄2 tablespoon rosemary
- 1⁄2 tablespoon lemon pepper
- 2 cups water
directions
- In a medium hot pot cook ham and onion until it begins to brown (about 4-5 minutes).
- Add water and stir scraping brown bits off bottom of pan.
- Add green beans, potatoes, and seasonings.
- Cover and cook 25-35 minutes until fork tender.

I too took the liberty of cooking this in the crockpot because the day home that I planned suddenly disappeared and my plan to make this was jeopardized. I cooked it for 10 hours on low (I have an old crockpot). It was so very good and the flavors and seasonings were just right. We really enjoyed it and I'll be making this again following your directions. Thanks Vicki in CT!!
