Cough Potion With Lovage

"Some would say it's a love potion. Here is a wonderful cough remedy. Have it warmed or cool. If your cough is mild, you need not heat the wine. I make this in the same bottle of wine that I enjoyed a glass of wine before making this."

ingredients

• 1⁄2 ounce honey
• 1⁄4 ounce lovage
• 1⁄4 ounce sage
• 2⁄3 ounce fennel
• 2 cups wine

directions

1. Place the honey and herbs in the wine. Shake and let them steep for 1 or 2 days, until the wine has absorbed their taste.
2. Strain the wine and heat a small glassful to drink after meals.
