directions

  • heat oven to 350*F.
  • in large mixer bowl combine sugar and butter. beat at low speed, scraping bowl often until light and fluffy. continue beating, adding eggs one at a time, until creamy.
  • by hand fold in remaining cake ingredients.
  • pour into greased 9"sq baking pan.
  • bake for 30 to 35 minutes, or until wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean, remove from oven and set aside.
  • in 1 qt saucepan place 1 cup chocolate chips and whipping cream. cook over low heat, stirring constantly until chocolate is melted.
  • serve sauce over squares.

  1. Lovely and moist !! I used white choc chips and did not make the sauce as the cake is for the lunch boxes. Very quick to whip up too !!
