Chipits Chewy Toffee Skor Almond Bars

- 1 cup butter, softened
- 1⁄2 cup sugar
- 2 cups flour
- 1 (225 g) package chipits skor toffee pieces
- 3⁄4 cup corn syrup
- 1 cup sliced almonds, divided
- 3⁄4 cup flaked coconut, divided
directions
- Preheat oven to 350°F Grease sides of 9x13-inch pan. In large mixing bowl, beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Gradually add flour beating until well blended. Press dough into bottom of prepared pan. bake 15-20 minutes or until lightly browned along the edges.
- Meanwhile in medium saucepan, stir together toffee bits and corn syrup. Cook over medium heat stirring constantly until toffee is melted, about 12 minutes. Stir in 1/2 cup almonds and 1/2 cup coconut. Spread within 1/4 inch of crust edge. Sprinkle remaining almonds and coconut over top. Bake an additional 15 minutes or until bubbly.
- Cool completely in pan on wire rack.
