- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 8 (4 ounce) salmon fillets
- 1⁄2 medium lemon, thinly sliced
- 1 bay leaf
- 2 cups frozen asparagus, thawed and cut into 1-inch pieces (or fresh asparagus steamed until crisp-tender, cut into 1-inch pieces)
-
Dressing
- 1 cup mayonnaise
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon fresh dill or 1 teaspoon dried dill

- Cook pasta according to package directions, but do not add salt. Drain pasta in a colander. Place pasta in large bowl; toss with oil. Cool to room temperature.

- Meanwhile, prepare dressing. In a small bowl, combine mayonnaise, sour cream, reserved poaching liquid, lemon juice, dill and salt.
- Combine pasta, asparagus and 1 cup of dressing. Toss to coat. Spoon pasta mixture onto serving plates. Place salmon on top of pasta. Spoon remaining dressing over salmon. Serve immediately.
