RECIPE SUBMITTED BY
I'm a senior at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, getting a degree in polisci. My resolution this year is to cook at least three meals for myself every week, with at least one new recipe every week; hopefully I stick to it! My kitchen is tiny and the appliances are ancient; the oven has half the space of my parents' standard oven and is an ill-tempered old electric monster, the fridge has only a thin panel separating the freezer from the rest, and the sink has . . . issues. To say nothing about the counter space, or cupboard room. So I call it my shoebox kitchen, and do my best to work around it. I eat very little meat and would go straight-up vegetarian if it weren't for the significant problems posed by my deep-set hatred for most types of beans. I also have a weird adversion to raw tomato, and most types of pasta.
