Cantaloupe-Banana Slush

"This is from the June 1997 Cooking Light Magazine and sounds really refreshing. Cooking times do not reflect the time needed to freeze the fruits."

  1. Pretty good I made this for a late night snack. I raise cantaloupe in my garden and when I can I freeze our extras. It sure did come in handy here. Thanks for sharing your recipe.

  2. I love this drink. I now have cantaloupe frozen in the freezer all the time. Very ripe fruit make this drink nicely sweet without the added sugar. Very easy to make and I love the fresh taste and the addition of the fresh lime juice is awesome. Thanks for sharing this recipe.

  3. I enjoyed this very much today as a refresher! I used pineapple juice and halved the recipe. So yummy! Thanks!

  4. This is incredible! I used Tropicana Peach Orchard Punch because it was all I could find as I raced through Walmart at it's busiest time. The cantalope and banana are a perfect dairy free combination and it is equivalent to an expensive drink we occasionally buy at the local custard place. My teen age girls were impressed and these days, that is a super compliment. Thanks for a great contribution to zaar. KCShell

  5. Wow, we really enjoyed this! I came across this recipe a few days ago and was so glad because I have a bag of frozen cantaloupe in the freezer to use up! As my main dish was cooking I took out the cantaloupe I needed, as well as some frozen bananas. I peeled and sliced the bananas and put all the frozen fruit in a bag and back in the freezer. Then I assembled it after dinner. Not only is this easy to make but it is really delicious. Some bites you get more cantaloupe, and some bites more banana. The bite from the juice is just perfect. I'm sure I'll use this recipe again to use up my frozen cantaloupe.
