Bread Machine Biscuits (No Yeast)

"I have always been told that any good southerner can make a good biscuit. I, personally have always been good at making hockey pucks disguised biscuits, but with the help of my trusty bread machine I can make biscuits that aren’t just good they're FABBULOUS."

  • Pre-heat your oven to 450 degrees .
  • Prepare a baking dish with cooking spray and/or parchment paper.
  • Grate frozen butter with a box grater or use a potato peeler. * If you do do not have all your ingredients measured and ready, Place in the freezer so that it doesn't melt. It's important that the butter stay frozen to have soft fluffy biscuits.
  • Place flour, baking powder, sugar, honey in the bread machine basket. Give the ingredients a good stir . Add in the butter.
  • Set the bread machine to the dough setting . Press start and let it go for five minutes.
  • Pour in the milk, and let it work for 30-45 seconds. Do not over mix.
  • Transfer the dough to a floured surface. Pat the dough out to a 1 inch thick rectangle.
  • Using a 1 inch round cutter or a cup, cut out 8 biscuits. Do not twist the cutter.
  • melt remaining butter in a bowl.
  • Place each biscuit in the bowl (separately) to coat the top with butter. Place on cookie sheet/baking dish.
  • Make sure the biscuits are touching, and bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
