Boone Cauliflower and Broccoli Salad

"The time was the 1980's. The place was Kansas City, Mo -- Boone Elementary School. The occasion was a luncheon for the teachers. Favors were little cookbooks we had made for each teacher with the recipes included for dishes served. This special recipe was from Lana Gill."

• Yields: 1 bowl
• Serves: 10-12

ingredients

• Salad

• 1 fresh broccoli, large bunch
• 1 cauliflower, large fresh
• 1 red onion, diced

• Dressing

• 1 cup Miracle Whip or 1 cup mayonnaise
• 1⁄2 cup oil
• 1⁄3 cup vinegar
• 1⁄2 cup sugar
• 1⁄2 teaspoon salt
• 1⁄4 teaspoon pepper
• 1⁄4 teaspoon dry mustard
• 1⁄4 teaspoon paprika

directions

1. Break into bite size pieces.
2. Dice and add red onion.
3. Mix dressing ingredients and pour over vegetables.
4. Refrigerate over night.
5. Note: Cooking time is time in the refrigerator.

A nice tasting veggie salad! I used a somewhat small red onion & used a generous measure of the dry mustard, but other than that . . .
