ingredients
- 2 (15 1/2 ounce) cans black beans
- 1⁄2 teaspoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1⁄2 teaspoon chili powder
- 1⁄2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 6 -8 tablespoons crushed tortilla chips (optional)
directions
- Place all ingredients in a saucepan and mix thoroughly.
- Cover and let simmer for about 20- 25 minutes or until tender add water if needed check your salt to taste .
- plating with Monterey chicken look for my recipe.
- Place beans on the bottom of a plate, covering the middle.
- add white rice on top of beans, Place chicken breast in the middle serve with crushed tortilla chips (optional).
