Beach House Crab Cakes

"Absolutely the crabbiest Crab Cakes you'll ever eat! Delicious and easy to make."

• Serves: 4-6

ingredients

• 1⁄2 cup Miracle Whip
• 1 egg
• 1 tablespoon brown mustard
• 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
• 1⁄2 teaspoon hot sauce
• 1 lb crab, Jumbo
• 20 saltine crackers, crushed
• 1⁄2 cup canola oil
• lemon wedge

directions

1. Whisk Miracle Whip and egg together. Add mustard, Worcestershire, and hot sauce until smooth.
2. In a medium bowl toss crab and cracker crumbs together. Fold in whisked mixture. Cover and refrigerate at least 1 hour.
3. Scoop into 1/3 Cup mounds and pack into patties.
4. Heat oil in a large skillet. Cook over high heat about 3 minutes on each side.
5. OPTIONAL - I also put the patties into a 350 degree oven for approx 15-20 minutes after having cooked them in the skillet. This allows all the other components of my meal to be prepared and ready as well as ensuring the crab is cooked and warmed through.
