Banana and Oat Smoothie

"A very healthy way to start the day. This is not an overly sweet smoothie, so if you want add some honey. I like it just the way it is."

This made a great breakfast on the run. Made using a frozen banana, 8 ounces of milk, no ice as the banana was frozen. Also add 1 T. flax meal. Did not add any honey as we both found it was sweet enough with out any additional sweetener. Thanks so much the post.

Soooo Good!!! My banana was frozen and so I opted out of the ice. Also threw in a touch of honey, another T. of oatmeal and 1 T. of flaxmeal like Lynn did. What a great breakfast Seesko.:-) Made for ZaarStars.

This is *so* good... super quick, and oh-so-yummy! I just whipped one up tonight, and will make another one for breakfast in the morning. I omitted the ice, used rice milk, and added 2 tablespoons of ground flaxseed for additional nutrition. The level of sweetness was just perfect as is... no honey needed! :) Thanks for a great smoothie recipe!

Yummy and filing breakfast! I used almond milk which I have found I like in smoothies and it reduces the fat and calories tremendously. I have since made this several times always using almond milk. I have found adding a few frozen strawberries is another great addition! This would be great for kids who never seem to have time for breakfast!

What a great idea for a fast breakfast! I used a frozen banana too, which was quite brown when I freezed it, so I ended up with a sweet and very flavorful smoothie. I was adding banana to my oatmeal ,but I like your way too.For the really brave ones, even an egg could go in there. Thanks for sharing.

I am the mother of two beautiful boys. I love to bake and cook which has helped me to become very overweight. I have lost 50 pounds this past year and have been learning to cook "lighter". We still enjoy many of the same dishes we used to. However, I have learned portion control and how to make suttle changes to my recipes that don't affect the flavor.
