Since I'm not usually big on using ice cubes in smoothies, I did leave them out, but did use a couple of frozen bananas for the frosty chill that we enjoy! The banana/apple combo made for a great smoothie! Thanks for sharing the recipe! [Made & reviewed as a THANK YOU for playing with us in Please Review My Recipe during the recent tour]

What a fabulous smoothie...snack...dessert...it certainly tastes good enough to be a dessert! My son asked if we could make an apple smoothie and this is the one we chose. I'm so glad! We used 2 small gala apples in place of the applesauce. I peeled one and left the other unpeeled and it didn't bother either of us. I won't peel the 2nd one next time, just for some added health benefit. Wouldn't change the spices at all. Oh, and our vanilla yogurt was low-fat instead of fat free, but I'll get fat free next time. Thanks!!!!

Wow, this really did taste like apple pie, I used apple cider in place of juice and left out the sweetner, this made one very large serving or 2 smaller servings. I must admit I felt a bit strange drinking this, I felt like with the taste it was something I should have been spooning out of a bowl. Very nice for something different.
