- 3 lbs boneless beef cubes
- 1 large onion, sliced lengthwise
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 -3 dashes Tabasco sauce
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 3⁄4 cup Heinz ketchup
- 1⁄4 cup water
- 2 -3 tablespoons oil
- 3 stalks celery, sliced on diagonal
- 4 carrots, sliced
- 1 bay leaf

directions
- Add oil to dutch oven and add beef cubes. Let the meat brown and then add the onion, garlic, bay leaf, Tabasco and worcestershire sauce. Mix well and continue to cook.
- In a measuring cup, combine the ketchup and water and stir to make a gravy. Add to pot, add salt to taste.
- Cook over a medium heat for 1 1/2 hours, stirring occasionally.
- Add water to thin the gravy, if needed.
