The original, from Trudy's here in Austin :-) Author's choice of tequila is Herradura Silver, also my personal favorite.
- Shake all ingredients and strain into glass rimmed with salt; add stuffed olives.
Close, but it's missing olive juice which Trudy's added. Hence the martini.
My Hubby and I used to spend every Saturday night at Trudy's munching on chips and salsa and drinking these. Sadly, we had to move to Houston and we haven't found a place that makes a mexican martini that even comes close to this. Thank You so much Amy, for the memories.
Really great recipe but MUST add 1/2 oz of olive juice! The only reason why I did not give it a 5 star!!!
