Strawberry Sherbet

- 1⁄3 cup sugar
- 1 pinch cinnamon
- 7 cups strawberries
- 1⁄4 cup freshly squeezed orange juice
- 1 cup milk (whole, half and half or heavy cream)
directions
- Place sugar, cinnamon and strawberries in food processor. Puree. (It may be necessary to do this step in batches.).
- Add orange juice and milk and PULSE a few times to blend well.
- Transfer mixture to a covered container and chill. Best to chill at least 3 hours or overnight.
- Freeze mixture according to instructions for your particular ice cream maker.
- Yield is about 6 cups.
- Can garnish ice cream with fresh mint leaves or verbena, if desired.
