We enjoy smoothies anytime of the year & this one was especially appropriate since I'd just purchased a bag of large Honey Crisp apples (for making some apple sauce) I used one of those here & it worked great! I used a bit more frozen strawberries than was called for, but that helped thicken it all up, which is what we like! I'll be keeping the recipe for this great smoothie on hand, for sure! This was delicious! I know some people hate when others modify then review the recipe, but it's only to show that there can be variations that may work better for some depending on dietary needs! I did use water instead of milk, and truthfully we've done this in many smoothies before with no noticeable difference in taste. Also, we used plain non-fat Greek yogurt, and did add some more honey than was required by the recipe in order to compensate for that. Other than that we made it as is. It was delicious! I will also add some oatmeal to it if I want to make it one morning for a hearty breakfast smoothie. Thanks for posting it!
