Delicious! Incredible flavor combination! I followed the recipe except I omitted the optional cherry tomatoes as I didn't have any. The shallots and garlic caramelized just as promised. We had the left over tonight which I reheated in the microwave for 1.5 minutes and I thought they were even better as the flavors melded with the beans even more! Thanks for posting such as wonderful and easy side dish!

Made this as a side to recipe#382712 and loved it. Used the option of adding cherry tomatoes fresh from the garden and used sweet onion instead of shallots as that's what I had and it was perfect. The spices were a nice blend and I felt the tomatoes really added that extra flavor and I like that the beans are not overcooked and to soft. The added benefit of being so easy to put together and the colors so bright and attractive made this an even better recipe. Thanks so much for posting. Made for PAC Fall - 09

This is a good basic recipe. The bites with the bacon crumbles are excellent, but the rest need a little more seasoning. The roasting brings a slightly sweet flavor to the beans. A bonus for this recipe is you can put it in with a baked potato for a nice side with a steak! I'd prefer to give this a 3 1/2, but not allowed on Zaar! Made for TYM Tag.

I'm a recent graduate from the Atlantic Cape Community College's Academy of Culinary Arts. I absolutely love food, always have. Over the years my tastes of expanded and developed. I find constantly that something I did not like at one point I suddenly love. Food is my life needless to say. I have a cat named Black Jack. He is the craziest cat I have ever met and super adorable. I also love to travel, read, watch movies, and just goof off. I admit I am a procrastinator and have put off many things to the last minute, however my recent experience in Ohio has helped me to mature more. Well that's enough about me.
