  • Layer a 3 quart casserole dish:.
  • sliced potatoes, then onions, then carrots, then beef, add salt and pepper.
  • Repeat layers.
  • Pour stock over the layers just until covered.
  • Put in 300F oven for 2 hours.
  • Serve as is with crusty bread.
