Not at all diet friendly, but a wonderful treat once in a while. From Latina.com.
- 1 cup brewed espresso
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 2 tablespoons dark rum
- 2 tablespoons Grand Marnier or 2 tablespoons orange liqueur, of choice
- 1 cup heavy cream
- curled orange rind (to garnish)
- In two large glass mugs divide brewed espresso. Add 1 tablespoon sugar to each and stir until dissolved, then mix into each 1 tablespoon rum and 1 tablespoon orange liqueur. Holding tablespoon facedown over side of mug, drizzle 1/2 cup cream over back of spoon so most of cream accumulates atop coffee. Repeat with second mug. Garnish with curled orange rinds, if desired.
wow! this was simply delicious. we went a little light on the booze and cream. This is now my favorite way to drink coffee!
