I love champagne cocktails & this is a tasty one I found from wellbrook winery, Canada.
- 1 1⁄4 cups Cointreau liqueur or 1 1⁄4 cups Grand Marnier
- 1 1⁄4 cups cranberry juice
- 1⁄4 cup fresh lime juice
- 1⁄2 cup superfine sugar
- 4 cups chilled champagne or 4 cups other sparkling wine
- Stir together Cointreau, cranberry Juice, lime juice, and sugar. Chill, covered, for 2 to 6 hours. To serve, divide mixture among 10 champagne flutes, then top each with champagne.
Nice drink. Very sweet. If you like sweet drinks this is for you! Really dressed up the champagne even more! Good citrusy balance too! *Made for Bevy Tag*
The made this exactly as stated, except for using light no added sugar cranberry juice, and this was still VERY sweet. I think the sugar could easily be cut in half. Tasty combo though. Thanks Mandy! Made for ZWT 4.
