Questions & Replies

  1. Does ANYONE ELSE recall a Cornstarch Pudding Receipt that included Egg(s)? My Grandmother used to make this when I was a Child and Serve it over Homemade Pound Cake with Fresh Sliced Strawberries - YUMMIE! My Children still request it and many of Her other Special Desserts which I have mastered, except “Grandma Browns Cornstarch Pudding”. It just doesn’t taste the same. I seem to remember that she put an egg or two (since she usually doubled the receipt). Thank You in advance for ending my Brain Fog!

  2. I'm trying to make a pudding out of a favorite juice. I'm not sure how. Can anyone advise?

  1. I was looking for a blancmange recipe and came across this. I used one percent milk and it thickened up nicely (and fast). I used two pans for my makeshift double boiler. this was delicious hot and great on my sore throat. Thanks Bertha

I am married and have three children ages 9 to 16. I work full-time so between work and attending as many school functions as I can possibly fit in, I have little time to prepare "gourmet" type dishes which require a lot of preparation time. I like tasty, quick-fix meals that use ingredients that are usually in my house and don't require an extra trip to the store. When I'm not waiting on my family or working, I like to do counted cross-stitch and recently started a new hobby----quilting.
