- 1 1⁄2 lbs green beans, stem end trimmed (green beans)
- 1⁄4 teaspoon salt
- 6 slices thick sliced bacon, cut into 1 inch strips (can sub 1 lb sliced smoked sausage)
- 1⁄2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1⁄8 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
- 1⁄2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 medium onion, cut into half circles
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
directions
- Place all ingredients in slow cooker; stir to mix. Cook on LOW for 4-5 hours.
- Serve over rice.
