  1. Easy and delicious, I put the potatoes and cheese on top and it only needed to be cooked in the oven for 20 mins.

  2. Another pick your chef recipe. I scaled recipe down to 4 servings, but used the 2 cups mashed potatoes.I had made mashed potatoes the night before,so made extra for this dish.Instead of putting the potatoes and chesse on the side,I put the potatoes and cheese on the top.I used 1 can of peas and carrots, instead of the mixed vegetables(personal preference). Thank you for posting.

  3. This was a nice variation of Shepherds Pie. I used frozen veggies instead of canned and I didn't have tomato paste so I used a can of diced tomatoes. I mixed the cheese into the potatoes by mistake and the flavor of the cheese was lost but I really didn't miss it. I would probably leave the cheese out next time altogether.

  4. Easy and everyone loved them. Instead of tomatoe paste I used rotel tomatoes and green chiles. Very good.

  5. I have actually made this and put it in my freezer. I am going to try to cook it from frozen. I will have to come back and let you know how it turns out. __ Update much much later: (Food.com no longer has the dates saved for reviews so no idea how much later.) I never did report back on how this cooked from frozen. And now-me thinks that the egg sounds weird so I won't be trying again, frozen or otherwise. Sorry about that.

I grew up on a farm and learned to cook from scratch. By age 9 I could follow a recipe. So I have been cookng for a lot of years now. Besides cooking I enjoy bible study, church, crafts, collecting rings and Christmas ornaments, reading, collecting angels and visiting with friends via E mail. Have been married for over 30years and have four children, two of which are handicapped. The kids are all grown now and I am getting use to cooking smaller portions. Recently found out my husband has non-hodgkins-lymphomia. He will start treatment soon. Learning more about healthy eating and healthy cooking.
