Sarah's Crockpot Spaghetti Sauce

ingredients
- 1 lb ground sausage
- 2 lbs ground beef
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 2 (6 ounce) cans tomato paste
- 4 (8 ounce) cans tomato sauce
- 1⁄4 cup dried parsley flakes
- 1 teaspoon dried rosemary leaves
- 1⁄2 teaspoon ground sage
- 1⁄2 teaspoon dried marjoram
- 1⁄2 teaspoon dried thyme leaves
- 4 -6 minced garlic cloves
- 2 (13 1/4 ounce) cans mushroom stems and pieces, drained (optional)
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 1 cup white wine
- 1⁄2 teaspoon pepper
directions
- 1. Brown and drain ground meats.
- 2. Drain off fat and place in large Crockpot spayed with non-stick spray.
- 3. Add chopped onions.
- 4. Add tomato paste and tomato sauce.
- 5. Add all herbs and seasonings.
- 6. Add wine and stir well.
- 7. Cook on low in Crockpot 6-8 hours. Should be enough sauce for 1-2 lbs. spaghetti noodles cooked according to directions on box.
