  • Preheat oven to 375°F Mix flour, oats, baking soda, baking powder and salt; set aside. Beat butter, sugars, and peanut butter in large bowl with electric mixer on medium speed until light and fluffy. Add egg and vanilla; mix well. Gradually add flour mixture, mixing until well blended after each addition. Stir in chocolate.
  • Drop by heaping tablespoonfuls of dough, 2-inches apart, onto ungreased baking sheets.
  • Bake 10-12 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool 1 minute; remove from baking sheets to wire racks. Cool completely.

  1. Pretty good cookie. I used light margarine in place of the butter to lower the fat content a bit and I also used chocolate chips instead of the chopped chocolate. I have learned from experience that if you use light margarine, you need to flatten the cookies before baking because they don't really spread out much, so I did that with these too. They taste better the next day after the flavors meld a bit more.

Her sweets are fantastics, especially her pound cakes, Yummm <br> <br>I guess the dish that I am famous for is my Christmas ham - my family all comes home for Christmas, and if i don't have my ham they are dissapointed, and my grandson wants the pistachio squares!!! so I guess that is the dishes that I'm famous for.
