  • 1 cup clear rubbing alcohol
  • 2 tablespoons non-sudsing ammonia

  1. Works great! I used and old 409 bottle, added a little blue and red food coloring, and my housekeeper never noticed! I'll definitely be keeping these "ingredients" on hand to refill that bottle. What could be easier and less expensive?? Thanks for the idea, Carolyn!

  4. This is the second time making this cleaner. I use it mostly for counters, windows etc. A good cleaner and cheap to make.
     
  5. Made up a double batch in a name brand refill container. DH was in car cleaning mode but complained that '"the cheap stuff' just doesn't work". In an uncharacteristic show of compliance I said I was of to the store and would bring back 'the good stuff'. All I did was take another reviewer's suggestion and added blue food colouring. "See! THIS is the stuff that works really well!!" Yes...I let him live :) Great stuff Carolyn - thanks for sharing
