Hellish Relish

"From Recipes and Memories Ft. Worth, Texas............. now I'm not a fan of anything that is very hot, spice-wise, but I know a lot of people are so I thought I would share this."

  • Place all ingredients in a large pan. Bring to a boil. Stir often.
  • Wait until jalapenos change color, but are still srunch.
  • Pour hot mixture into hot sterilzed jars. (Al;so read your jar manufacture's instructions.).
  • Wipe e away any spills on the jar rims with paper towels moistened with sterlize water. (A wide mouth funnel is very helpful filling the jars).
  • Apply lids and rings. Process for 10 minutes in boiling water bath, then tighten the rings and check for proper sealing.
  • Store in a cool dark place.
  • Note: use disposable gloves while handling jalapenos and be sure to not get any in your eyes. This recipe makes 2 pints with a little left over.
