Yummy! I was very impressed with how tasty this healthy recipe is. I made a couple of substitutions, just because I realized too late that I didn't have yogurt or applesauce in the house. I used milk instead of yogurt and apple butter in place of the applesauce. The apple butter gave a wonderful flavor; I think I'd use it again! These bars turned out great - very moist and flavorful! It's a keeper! I might try it next time with cranberries or raisins in place of the chocolate chips.

Great recipe - doesn't taste healthy:) Thanks for posting it. I have made this a few times now and the best part of this recipe is that it's so adaptable. I've used several different cereals and usually use buttermilk instead of yogurt and 1/2 c brown sugar. I love making my own chunky apple sauce in the microwave for this. Even my super picky hubby loves these. Thanks for the great recipe. This is one of my absolute fav's.

This was great, of course I've made substitutions. Added a 1/2 a cup of blueberries, used greek yogurt instead of plain, used splenda brown sugar, added a teaspoon of cocoa powder instead of chocolate chips for a chocolate taste. I've made it about 6 times and used different cereals everytime, cheerios went very well. What a great versatile recipe. My DH and my friends were amazed lol!!!!! Thanx!!!!!!

These are delicious. I have made them twice in the last two weeks. I was suprised that they stayed moist and "cake-like" in texture. I did make a few substitutions: Used all bran for the cereal, whole flax seeds instead of meal, lite sour cream istead of yogurt, egg beaters instead of eggs, and 1/3 cup of brown sugar splenda istead of 2/3 cup white sugar. I also used home made chunky applesauce, so it had big pieces of moist yummy apple in it. Even my picky kids gobbled these up...thanks for sharing..will be making this one again and again!
